Armaan Malik sang "Bum Bum Bole" for the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par when he was just 10 years old. Since then, he has established himself as a playback singer, independent singer-songwriter, and has collaborated with various artists. Recently, he performed alongside Ed Sheeran and Marshmello during their tours in India. During a visit to Bengaluru, Armaan expressed his belief in manifesting dreams into reality, stating that he has envisioned future accomplishments such as winning a Grammy, performing at Madison Square Garden, and collaborating with artists like Charlie Puth, Zedd, and Justin Bieber. Reflecting on the music industry, he highlighted the importance of creating quality music over chasing viral hits. Armaan emphasized the uniqueness of each song and the need to preserve the authenticity of artists' voices in the face of advancing technology.I find it both amusing and concerning that my texture and voice could be utilized by anyone to produce a song. There is a necessity for regulations in this area. While AI can offer benefits, laws should be in place to safeguard the rights of artists and maintain the authenticity of music. I strongly feel that traditional elements like real instruments and musicians should always play a significant role in the music creation process. What is natural should remain untouched. "Collaborations are a great opportunity to merge various worlds, fans, and styles." Engaging in a collaboration with another artist is thrilling, but the key factor is having a genuine attraction to that artist. I have several favorite artists whom I am eager to collaborate with because of my admiration for their music and the desire to create together. Collaborations aim to unite diverse worlds, fanbases, and musical styles. The crucial element is shared admiration and enthusiasm. Without this energy, a collaboration is unlikely to be successful. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to collaborate with many of the artists I admire. Working with AR Rahman was a dream realized. It is incredible how manifesting dreams can bring them to fruition. Today, with talent and internet access, individuals from remote places can showcase their abilities and gain stardom through their music. Independent music in India is currently flourishing. In the realm of playback singing, one must be versatile, like a chameleon. Independent music allows for more creative freedom compared to playback singing, where vocal style often needs to adapt to suit the persona of the actor on screen. In cases where the actor is older, adjustments are made to align vocally with their charisma and persona. It's fascinating how one can transform like a chameleon. A dream come true for me was singing with Ed.Armaan Malik expressed humility after sharing the stage with Ed Sheeran. Despite Ed's worldwide fame, he displayed remarkable humility. It is uncommon to encounter someone of his caliber who maintains such a humble attitude. They bonded over music discussions, including Indian melodies, and Ed expressed interest in collaborating with Indian artists. Their friendship grew strong, and Armaan now regards Ed as a brother. (Armaan Malik performed to a sold-out audience at Bharatiya City in Bengaluru recently).
